Key Responsibilities for the Head of Underwriting – BTL
- Own and take control of Risk Assessment for all leads generated by Partners, Brokers and Direct Sales
- Real ability to amend and adjust the risk structure to work with market changes and ensure commercial and secure mindset to lending
- Analyse the portfolio health and use your initiative to build reports / identify red flags to ensure healthy lending portfolio is maintained
- Control the arrears assessment of high-risk cases and build a criteria which will adapt accordingly CRS Hiring For Head Of Underwriting Jobs UK
- Responsible for the team of underwriters – Line Management, Audit of work flow and provide strong training to upskill the team
- Evaluation of Underwriting tools used in the industry to help the business be more efficient/ make better decisions.
- Evaluation the technology and the technology available in the market, to make the business more efficient and capable of using data in the most effective way
- Cohort analysis to assess bad debt.
Requirements for the Head of Underwriting– BTL
- Degree educated
- Previous experience in the specialist lending market in Buy To Let
- Held a senior underwriter / head of underwriting position previously
- Strong attention to detail – can confidently work across Credit and Risk
