{"id":19255,"date":"2025-03-07T06:30:10","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T06:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwitindia.in\/blog\/accounting-analyst-in-uk-id-323\/"},"modified":"2025-03-07T06:30:10","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T06:30:10","slug":"accounting-analyst-in-uk-id-323","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uwitindia.in\/blog\/accounting-analyst-in-uk-id-323\/","title":{"rendered":"Accounting Analyst In UK ID-323"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description<br \/>\nThe Accounting Analyst will provide support to the Finance Unit for CIP-Kenya to ensure efficient and timely deliverable of their objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Receive and record invoices in the invoice register &#038; check them for consistency and accuracy according to CIP guidelines and policies.<br \/>\nPrepare payments and ensure the safety of financial resources.<br \/>\nEnsure appropriate supporting documents for transactions including receipts, invoices, contracts are attached.<br \/>\nEnsure that payment requests are properly approved and that payments are effected within CIP-SSA turn-around time;<br \/>\nRecord financial transactions following proper classification of accounts and cost centre in the documents.<br \/>\nPosting of the financial transactions to systems UNIT 4 Agresso<br \/>\nMaintaining an updated Fixed assets register by ensuring all the acquisitions, transfers and disposal are recorded.<br \/>\nReconciliation of balance sheets accounts<br \/>\nReconciling and management of VAT accounts to ensure invoices with VAT are ready for processing the Exemption certificate.<br \/>\nPreparation of monthly bank reconciliation.<br \/>\nEnsure all bills are posted according to the period of the service provided (Utility Bills, Rentals, IT, Facilities) monthly.<br \/>\nManagement of overdue supplier\u2019s accounts to ensure all outstanding bills are reconciled and paid in time.<br \/>\nEnsure all payments are filed sequentially and stamped PAID in readiness for Audit.<br \/>\nEnsure financial transactions are carried out in accordance with the Center\u2019s financial and administrative policies and procedures and maintain detailed and accurate records for all financial transactions.<br \/>\nEnsure and support in the maintenance of a good filing system.<br \/>\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.<br \/>\nWhat are we looking for?<\/p>\n<p>A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.<br \/>\nCPA II or ACCA level 2.<br \/>\nMinimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit environment.<br \/>\nProficient in MS Office, especially in Excel.<br \/>\nAccounting software packages (Preferably UNIT 4 Agresso).<br \/>\nAptitude for understanding complex regulations and monitoring financial transactions and documentation for compliance.<br \/>\nAccuracy and attention to detail.<br \/>\nAbility to be a team player in a busy environment, often with tight deadlines.<br \/>\nAdvanced written and oral communication skills in English.<br \/>\n This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position limited to Malawi nationals and permanent residents only.<\/p>\n<p>This position WILL NOT have contact with children or vulnerable adults.<\/p>\n<p>CIP is an equal opportunity employer.
