As a Senior Full-stack Engineer at OpenGov, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of our cutting-edge cloud-based software solutions. Your expertise in Node.js and React will contribute to building scalable and high-performance applications that empower governments to transform their operations and better serve their citizens.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
\nDevelop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Node.js and React.
\nWrite clean, efficient, and testable code to ensure the highest level of software quality.
\nParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, reliability, and security.
\nStay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in web development.
\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
\nProven experience as a Full-stack Developer with a focus on Node.js and React.
\nStrong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related front-end technologies.
\nFamiliarity with back-end development and RESTful APIs.
\nExperience with modern web development tools and build systems (Webpack, Babel, etc.).
\nKnowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
\nAbility to work in an Agile development environment and deliver high-quality code on schedule.
\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
\nPreferred Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
\nExperience working in a SaaS or cloud-based software company.
\nContribution to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.
\nFamiliarity with government financial management or budgeting processes.
\nPrevious experience in mentoring junior developers.
