About the Position
We’re looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join our IT team in San Francisco, CA. If you’re looking to join a team, then we’d love to hear from you! Twitch is the game-changing live streaming service for creators.
As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide hands-on support for client hardware and software on Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. In addition, you will support our conference and meeting spaces as the first line of response. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working as part of a distributed team and communicating with all kinds of users.
You have an excellent understanding of computers (both hardware and software), basic knowledge of Audio Video systems and platforms. You have technical skills, and the ability to deal patiently with people in different situations. You will report to the Service Desk Manager.
You Will:
- Resolve complex issues that may not be well documented, and apply your knowledge to improving and creating support procedures and documentation
- Manage our IT ticket queue to ensure service level agreements are met
- Provide personalized support to Twitch employees
- Manage and troubleshoot Gaming PC, printers, and other IT-related site equipment
- Manage our IT assets through the entire lifecycle, onboarding, repairs, and secure disposal.
- Image, and deploy laptops for employees both locally and remote
- Analyze competing tasks, assess technical risk, and communicate impact to the business and team
You Have:
- 2+ years experience working in an IT Desktop Support role
- Have broad knowledge of and the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on macOS, Windows 10, Linux, and managing Mac and PC’s in an enterprise environment. Perform advanced system administration activities and are a subject expert in at least one area of technology
- Experience with client management systems
- Experience with IT Services ticketing software
- Exposure or some experience to scripting or programming.
- An understanding and awareness of Security standards
Bonus Points
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field
- Advanced Windows, macOS or Linux systems administration skills/certification
- Experience with Google Meet, Chime.
- Familiar with AV systems

- Keep your mind and body, relaxed.
- Never try to give a long answer to an interview question. Keep your answer short and effective.
